I couldn't find this in my manual, but my recollections is that
although the RAMKEEPER isn't technically DMA compatible, whatever
card you have in the back pocket is accessed as DMA, but not both cards.
AST Visionplus requires DMA ram, more than I can manage in
order to do full color graphics with my RAMKEEPER in
(my back card is the Apple 1 meg), but it has no problem doing B&W.
The point? 8 meg on one card in the back pocket is probably still your
limit (the apple doesn't recognize more than that anyway), but there's a
good chance you would never notice a problem.
These cards are great and the only reason I'm not using mine anymore is
because even with the slot mover my Focus HD is to close (and over heats)
next to the RK (it is a hot card even with a fan).
