Former RatShack employee mode <on>:  The local school district's junior
high computer class insists that students go out and buy DSDD disks for
their work -- see, guys, they're NOT dead -- and the dist provides a
list of where to look.  The only place left still providing is... The
Shack.  And they couldn't keep them in stock for the above reason.  :)
I looked yesterday when exchanging my phone, and they do have them.

   | drives for downloaded DOS 3.3 wares, backups, new projects, etc.
   | into the 21st century may want to stock up on DSDD diskettes now,

Vicious thriftshopper mode <on>:  There is no running out of DSDD 5.25"
disks if you go to the thrift shops, liquidators, and the like.  Most
of the disks are used and loose in the bin, but I always see still-
in-the-shrinkwrap boxes of floppies.  Yes, stock up on the brand new
ones when you see them; if you don't mind 'recycling' a Commodore,
Atari, or 8086 IBM disk by reformatting and putting new fresh data in
the tracks, you'll never be without.  Lots of thrifts have bagged
bundles hanging on pegs too, often new(ish) blanks which lack boxes.
