Duodisk gone screwy

I've got a duodisk that has gone flakey.

Drive 1 works fine, but drive 2 does not. When I ran computer inspector on it (drive 
speed), the drive was showing a rpm range of 0-600 rpm.

I swapped the drive hardware (hooked drive 2 to drive 1 ports) and all is well.

So.. I am out of ideas. I don't have a schematic for the analog board on the duodisk.

Also, the drive 2 light stays partially on. (dim)

any ideas what is baked?
