   The early stages of the GS/OS boot code (in Start.GS.OS) certainly
do require a bit of a filesystem; this is why you can't boot GS/OS off
a HFS disk without major patches to that file. [Think about it for a
second: if you don't have PRODOS.FST loaded, you still gotta have some
way of finding it on disk to load] Only appleshare and ProDOS are
supported in the initial startup code; other FSTs are not as well
supported.
