Yep. If you had a teacher in your family you got a discount on one for
home use. Guess where my first full-time Apple II came from.
BTW I still have it; after 10+ years of doing his taxes on it with VisiCalc
my father got himself a PowerMac and shipped me his Apple stuff. The Disk ][
still works; the NEC PC-8023-A 9-pin dot matrix printer still works. The
Zenith 12" green screen still works.
