Actually localtalk is fairly poky. If you try transferring a few megabytes
at a shot, it's like watching your fingernails grow. But for small lumps
of data it's ok. Speed wise it's probably the same as a floppy disk or single
speed CD. I use ethernet with most of my Macs, which is fast enough to play 
quicktimes over the network.

It's nice to see someone who doesn't criticize other people because of the
equipment they choose to use, by the way.
