Help ME! Apple IIc

Hi all the Apple II users! This is my first posting. I got an Apple
IIc a couple of months ago from a friend for $5 because they didn't
know how valuable it is (at least it is to me!). Although I have a
486 dx 2-66 also (my parents') I'm really now interested in the Apple
IIc because I can program on it and I thus have full access to it any
time. Although, I really like my Apple IIc because everyone can brag
about having the fastest computer, but who can beat me when I say I
got the slowest!? Also, having a computer from early 1984 just makes
me feel special :-)
Anyways, Idid the test where you do the peek and I got a return of
"0". I have a monitor (black and white, or rather green and white!),
an internal 5.25 floppy disk drive the pin connects for modem and
printer and lots of software. I found out I have Apple Writer 1 and
2, Appleworks, FrEdWriter and a "bank writer". I got some games and a
lot of original Apple II disks like system utilities and early
tutorials.
What I would like to do is two things. I'm wondering if you know
where I can get a printer for my apple IIc (cost, where do I find the
ribbons etc...) and programming help! I'm an experienced PC user and
can use Basic quite well and I knows the basics of C++. The thing
that pisses me off is that in I found out when I "exit" a program off
a disk I get type NEW and start inputing lines. But I would like to
know how to use a text editor to write my programs and if I would
need other supporting programs or files. Also, one little thing:
when you type LIST to see the current program is there any way to make
it pause every screen (like the DOS type |more) because it's really
annoying to have to type Control-C every screen manually!
I hope I havn't bored you guys and I would appreciate all your help!
Please e-mail me at mike_malek@hotmail or I guess you could reply
here. Thanks a lots everybody and have a great new year :--)
