Search for this thing in back posts .. I posted where to add a solder
bridge to make it work without patching any code.

RAM in the peripheral slots is not the same as the Aux Slot RAM, or
IIgs Memory Slot RAM.

Although the //e treats both similarly, the IIgs does not at all. For
the IIgs, the RAM Slot is where system RAM goes. The rest is whatever
a specific application does with it, or you're using it as a RAM Disk.
