Probably acid.  Seriously though, Fortune published a good summary of
the Jobs/Apple/Microsoft deal a while back.  The main point: Jobs
wants to look good, play hero for saving Apple, and leave before Apple
goes bankrupt.

Avatar was one project to build a next generation  GS compatible computer.
Look on ground for some more info.  A lack of $$ cancelled it.  There was
also an effort to build a SuperNintendo cartridge/addon that would
allow someone to run AppleII wares.  And rumor has it that it partly worked.
I'd wager that a lack of $$ also killed it.
