There's no better way than a null-modem-cable...
The Apple II (except the IIGS) cannot write MS-DOS disks, the PC cannot
read Apple II disks.
So for transferring files via disk, you need a IIGS or a //e equipped
with 5.25" and 3.5 drives to copy the files onto a 3.5" floppy. Then you
need either a IIGS or a Mac to copy the files onto a MS-DOS 3.5" floppy.
The null-modem approac bears less hassles IMHO.
