There seems to be some confusion over why the Trackstar 128 board will
*not* work in a 16 bit slot.
It's purely a physical problem. The board extends down such that it
interferes with the 16 bit part of the slot, so it's impossible to
insert it into the 8 bit part of the slot. It needs a *real* 8 bit
only slot.
I'm sure it would work if you could actually insert it into a 16 bit
slot, but it's just not possible. If you ever get a chance to buy
one, hoping to actually use it, make sure you have a real 8 bit slot
available.
Of course, this applies to the Trackstar 128 only, as this is the
version I have. Newer versions, such as the "E", may not have this
limitation, but I've never seen one.
