Micro-Ferrups is an intelligent, interactive peropheral. It's high speed
micropocessor constantly monitors your power, checks it's own systems and
adjusts to present conditions. Micro-ferrups communicates with you, warning you
of potental problems and providing up-to-the-minutes status reports.

Protection Features:

Lighting and surge Protection: Outstanding 2000-to-1 spike attenuation. Tested
using both catagories A and the higher catagory B ANSI/IEEE C62.41 impulses and
the C62.45 procedure.*

Gralvanic Isolation (Output Neutal-to-Ground Bond): Provides the Isolation

Intelligence Features:

Automatic Battery Check: Micro-Ferrups Regularly checks its batteries under
load and warns you when it time to inspect or replace them.

Automatic Inverter Check: Every day (or as often as you desire) Micro-ferrups
test its inverter to be certain it will preform when needed. If the
microprocessor spots a problem, it sounds an alarm.

Extended Brownout Range: Micro-Ferrups can produce clean, computer-grade power
without going to inverter, even when the input voltage is very low (down to 70%
of normal). Its sophisticated micropocessor analyzes the input voltage and
decides wheather it is "good enough" to be turned into computer-grade power,
thus preventing unnecessary inverter operation. Micro-Ferrups' extended
Brownout Range is better than any other UPS on the market- most of which must
go to inverter at 80% of normal voltage.

Runtime Monitoring: During a power outage, Micro-Ferrups compares its battery
capacity with your loads and tells you how long it will keep you equipment
running during a blackout. It will sound an alarm if runtime gets low.

Communications: Micro-Ferrups can communicate with terminals, computers and
other remote devices via its RS232 port - standard on every model. Selectable
communications rate: 300, 1200, 4800, or 9600 baud.

Power and Operations Monitoring: Micro-ferrups continually monitiors the
quality of your power and its onw status. It reports to you via the controll
panel or a terminal or a computer attached to the RS232 port. Meter functions
include: AC Volts Out, AC Volts In, AC Amps Out, Battery Voltage, DC Amps Out,
VA Load, Frequency, Heatsink Temperature, Ambient Temperature, Time/Day, Number
of Outages, Projected Runtime Remaining, System Hours, Inverter Minutes, Number
of Overloads, Percent of Full Load, Alarm Log, Power Factor, Watts.

Alarms: To alert you to possible alarms, Micro-Ferrups displays alarm messages
on its Control Panel and sounds coded audio alarms. Alarm Messages include: Low
Battery, Near Low Battery, High Battery, Low Remaining Runtime, Low AC Output,
High AC Output, Output Overload, High Ambient Temperature, Heatsink
Overtemperature, User Test Alarm, Check Cooling, Check Battery Check Inverter,
Memory Check, Shutdown Activated.

Alarm and Inverter Logs: Micro0Ferrups records the time, duration and reason
for alarms and inverter runs, helping you or your service technichian diagnose
power or equipment problems.

Automatic Shutdown: With optional software and/or cabling Micro-ferrups can
communicate with you computer or LAN system. it alerts users to low battery
runtime and executes an orderly shutdown of your equipment - even when your not
around.

User-Pogrammable Set Points: you can program many of Micro-Frrups' operational
and alarm set points, to customize the unit for your own special requirements.

Remote Emergency Power Off: Micro-Ferrups can interface with your panic and
emergency shutdown systems.

External Alarm Compatibility: Microferr-Ups can interface with your security or
external alarm system.
