That may be related to the fact that the SHIFT keys, the DELETE key, and
the space bar all have small, weak coil springs under the keycap/around
the switch stem, while most of the keys simply rely on the spring action
of the keyswitch. I'm trying now to remember if RETURN, TAB, and CONTROL
also have extra springs under them......
