Well one problem I see is you're running Appleshare 2.0 under system 7.
The way I recall it, 2.0 only runs under system 6 and 3.0 runs requires 7.
So I'm thinking software incompatibility arising from running 2.0 under 7.0.
I have Appleshare 3.0 and have tried out the print server. With it you
capture printers in the setup, making them only visible on the network
via the print server. But you can opt to allow bypass of the server, where
both the printer and its connection through the server are visible. That's
under 3.0 though, your mileage may vary under 2.0.
Looks like the first thing to do is to either locate a copy of Appleshare 3.0
or install system 6 on the LC to run 2.0. Should be able to find a copy of
3.0 for a reasonable amount these days considering how far from current
that version is. Also starting with 3.0, the file server and print server
are in the same package. So you could add the ability to boot the IIgses
from the server if this would be desirable.
