I hate to reopen the can of worms, but, the PowerPC's have some funky 3.5"
drives. If you format an 800k disk on your Apple and you get an error when
trying to write to the that disk from the Power PC, you may have one of the
bad drives. If your Power PC is under warranty, you may want to have it
checked out. Contrary to what some people would have you believe, many of the
Power PC's with problems have SONY mechanisms. As for the MSDOS format; if you
formatted a 1.44 meg disk on your PC, an 800k Apple drive cannot read it as it
doesn't have the capability to do so.

Here, you have me stumped. What MSDOS utilities?
