KEGS (GS emulator for HP-UX)

Last week I mentioned that I ran a translated version synthfile on
HP-UX workstation to look over some of the MIDI Synth files that
Mitch Spector uploaded.

Steve Nelson wrote to ask if I had tried KEGS, an Apple IIGS emulator
written by Kent Dickey (KEGS == Kent's Emulated GS) that runs under
HP-UX. Steve uses it to check out files before downloading them to
his GS.

I actually had been using KEGS for a couple of weeks. It works great,
but I hate to use it on sound files because (1) I don't want to
disturb nearby cubicles here at work and (b) the sound from my
workstation's internal speaker isn't so great.

If anyone else has an HP 9000 workstation running HP-UX 9.05 or 10.20,
I would suggest getting hold of the emulator and giving it a try. It
is available from the following URL:
