I downloaded marinetti, transfered it to my IIgs (special thanks to Nathan
Mates)
I stuck it in the Control Panel Folder, and rebooted.
OK, so now in the control panel menu, I have the Marinetti control panel.
I went to that panel, and It says Marinetti, connect, protocol. Just like
it is supposed to.
I read all of the documentation for the program, and I tried to configure
the program.
I would click configure, and then connect. When I click connect, a System
6 window flashes on the screen for an instant. It says "connecting to
network" and then disappears.
So, I thought I had not enough memory, or perhaps one of my DA's, control
panels, inits, or drivers was causing the problem.
I went to BootMaster (Signature GS), and I turned off just about every
DA/CDEV/INIT/DRIVER
So, when I boot now, I get system error $0010
According to Nathan Mates FAQ page (actually, a link from his page to "a
more complete" listing of system errors, SYSTEM ERROR $0010 is a "device
not found" error.
I do not know why this is happening. If anything, a driver should not
have been found, and a piece of hardware shouldn't work,
But the computer is telling me it is missing a device.
I used system 6 install disk, and reinstalled system 6.
I still get the system error. I've tried deleting and deactivating more
system files that I don't use. I've tried removing all system 6 folders,
I have tried removing hardware from my computer.
No luck!
I have ROM 1, 1.25 megs ram, Ramfast in slot7, twgs in slot 3, quickie
scanner in slot 2
SYSTEM TEST: control open apple/closed apple/ reset: I have tried this,
and I get the notes and the System OK message.
TWGS test: continuous test says passed on all test items.
