My tests of year 2000 problems are incomplete but here they are.  Some 
programs display <NO DATE> if the year is 00.  Others show it as 00. Some 
corectly show it as 2000.  Appleworks 3.0 will run but the "pd" command 
to insert the current date into a file puts 1900 as the year.  I've heard 
rumors that the latest version fixes this.

So, expect mixed results when 2000 hits.  As others suggested, try 
setting the clock to 00 and see what chokes and what doesn't.
