Seriously, I would not attempt this. I tired doing the same thing many years
ago with my GS, a Mac SE and a Syquest for the same reason. The GS booted; the
Mac didn't. The GS would not access the drive as long as the Mac was attached.
Disconnect the Mac and the Syquest would be available. Surprisingly, no damage
was done to any of the units. I still use the Syquest and the GS. A friend of
mine used the SE until software and operating systems made it virtually
useless! You know, Apple's Mac-of-the-Month computers. A new month; a new Mac!
