   Thanks for the bug report; duplicated on this end.

   First, TextEdit is *full* of bugs. Sure, Apple managed to deliver a
smaller number of bugs than say AWGS, but there's also a lot of
features it doesn't do, and GS word processors have never really been
considered anything near stable at all. [Orca/Edit bundled with
Orca//M 2.0 had a whole bunch of bugs that I remember running into,
even Edit-16, the editor that sucks the least imho, I've managed to
break a number of times]

   As this is the first report for this bug I've seen, I'll leave it
at lower priprity on my tasklists. [Got a few other GS coding projects
to have fun with right now :]
