That's the thing.  The menubar clock stops, the hands are not going
around on the watch (I use the Animated Watch init, which sometimes
keeps running when the menu clock stops during a thought process), but
the cursor never freezes / no crash "beep" / the screensaver works.

What, have we encountered an endless loop when dealing with many colors?
