I think using the word "libel" may be a bit too strong in this case.
You have to realize that Mr. Mates probably slammed your product *for no
other reason* than it was endorsed by Mr. Turley (whom Mr. Mates hates
and has been waging a war of words against in this newsgroup). Unless
you are aware of the background in csa2 regarding these parties, I can
see where you would take more than usual exception to his remarks.

Maybe this would be a good idea; good references are *never* a bad thing
to provide. And it could only help your case.
