LS-120 drive on IIe/IIGS

Has anyone tried using one of the LS-120 IDE drives on a IIe or IIGS
with an IDE controller?  Will it work?  These drives use a 120 Mb disk
and are able to read standard 1.44 Mb and 720 kb floppy disks as well.
It would be interesting to see if these (like the older "flopticals")
work well with the IIs as a way of getting access to high-density disks.

They sell for about $129 new.  I have seen a parallel port and IDE
version, but no SCSI version.
