Scott: FYI: he programs for just about *every* platform out there,
including the Mac OS and arcade game emulators. He also grew up using
Apple II's in school, and currently owns a IIgs himself. For what it's
worth, he works and programs for Wintel machines ONLY because it's his main
full time job at present. He dislikes Microsoft as much as the next
person. He's also recently been made an official Apple developer and
technician. The technical differences you state on this project need to be
taken up with him, DIRECTLY. He does not read usenet.
This discussion was not started to address the total waste of time "would
have/could have" speculation surrounding ACI's past decisions. It was
merely to address if such a machine could be made today, independently--and
what it would involve in taking on such a project. That's all.
