Two corrections here:
- the emulation core was written by Dr. ShadowWrite Andre Horstmann. I was
just cheerleading.
- 13.75 Mhz is way too low. A 603e/200Mhz Mac already scratches
the 20Mhz (22Mhz peak, 16Mhz+ typical), so expect much better
performance on a "kick-butt" system (like a Mach5/300 or a G3).
It is very difficult to provide figures for emulation software because there's
no linear correlation between clock speed of the physical and the virtual
system. It also depends on what type of software you are running. A single
instruction can trigger a long sequence of actions that you would get for free
on the IIgs.
