Need yet more help...Thunderscan

This is turning into a bad computer weekend for me.

Finally finishing up transfering all my 3.5s to my hard drive and tried 
to run Thunderscan's software.  If I run it from my hard drive it crashes 
trying to load a previous scan.  If I load and launch it from the 3.5 it 
gets confused and can't find itself and keeps asking to be inserted.

What is with this software?  Anyone else run into anything like this?
