Did you read the documentation? I haven't delved into the depths of
Convert 3200 myself, but just a casual clicking of the various buttons
shows you some palette manipulating tools. I think the idea is to get
the picture in GS format and then tinker with it yourself - IOW, that
Convert 3200 is not a smart program, but instead offers tools to let
the user tune the picture himself.

I agree that this is unfortunate.

I think you're being unreasonable here. $20 is just not enough to
support printed documentation when consider the small quantities
being sold.

If I were you, I would talk to Joe Kohn. He's always been quite
concerned about customer satisfaction.
