For the umpteenth time, this is NOT the way to go. Moderation sucks, plain
and simple. Killfiles are a much better way to filter out crap.

I noticed a new group named alt.fan.nathan on my host. I think all this
crap should be moved there and only people who want to read it will see it.

It would be handy to have an alternate FAQ without the inane editorial content
you find in the current one.

Dunno about that, never gave much notice until all the chest-thumping "read
section such-and-such in my FAQ" followups kept popping up in response to
people's questions.
