Printing via TCP/IP, specifically the HP JetDirect/Port 9100 protocol. Appletalk networked printers are getting harder to find as its being phased out. Every network printer will accept data on port 9100 though. Should be fairly straight forward to implement (CDev to config port/IP and a DirectConnect printer port driver), but I lack the GS/OS dev tools and experience.
While on the subject of printing... some modern GS/OS printer drivers. A color Postscript or PCL5 driver would be nice and work with a large variety of printers. Really something more updated then what Harmonie or Independence came with.
SMB/CIFS file sharing would be cool too. Once again, Apple is phasing out Appleshare over Appletalk, while everything including Windows talks SMB. Don't know how lightweight of a client can be made for it though. Doesn't need things like domain access, just simple access to drive shares.
