SIS, Marinetti, & SS

Subject: Spectrum Internet Suite, Marinetti, and Second Sight

I was impressed with SIS and Marinetti at KFest, and what I've read about
SS has impressed me. This message is to ask about the capabilities of
these programs, not to denigrate them for what they weren't intended or
written to do. They have shown that the Apple IIgs can be expanded beyond
where Apple Computer abandoned it.

Should SIS be understood to be a browser? I know that one can't download
at least graphic files with it, but must use lynx for that. Is it graphic
in terms of GS/OS, that is, it runs in a graphical GS/OS environment on
the desktop, but not in terms of the Internet, that is, it can't view
graphics on the Internet? Or can it view them but not download them? Or
can it view them but "through a glass darkly", that is, not as well as
Netscape or Internet Explorer? What does SIS do that lynx doesn't do,
other than to provide a graphical desktop?
