many further questions you may have. In the meantime, stay away from a
certain character named Charles Turley-- he's drugged out and
occasionally has moments of lucidity, but those are getting fewer and
fewer.

   It would help to know how much memory, what OS version, etc you're
running under. One quite useful tool (System 6 only, so 1MB ram
minimum) is Richard Wifall's Shareware 'Easy Open' Finder extension,
which allows you to make a hard 'alias' application to the program.
Drop all these aliases in one directory and simply use that.

   That mostly depends on your interests and system capabilities.  For
me, the thing that I must have is GNO/ME, which give me a nice
unix-like environment with command prompts, etc. [GUI types won't like
that]. With System 6.0.1, a <BLATANT PLUG> is the GUPP (Grand Unified
Patch Program) I wrote, which fixes a number of bugs in the OS and
common apps. Install and forget about it.
