        The FIRST ROM upgrade INCLUDED the UniDisk 3.5 driver upgrade - so
you should be able to use the UniDIsk 3.5.

        One way to verify - If there's a cut "Bowtie" near the ROM, and a
solder lump near it also, it's been upgraded.

An easy way to tell if a IIc has the 3.5 Rom upgrade is to do a system
self test. Hold down the Open Apple, Closed Apple, Control keys, then press
and release the reset..
If the screen continually puts up different lores blocks and does not quit
it is the original Rom. The 3.5 Rom also has the self test built in.
