Actually I just remembered.... I did exactly that a few years ago on this very wire...didn't seem to do a good job though. I'll have to get the soldering iron out tomorrow, re-strip the wire, and get it all fixed up. I have plenty of donor cards I can snap a pin off of. Is the cable removable from the card end? Seems like its on there pretty good.
