Its located on the flyback transformer. The flyback is the large black
item on the pc board with a large diameter red wire going to the picture
tube.
There are 2 controls, one for focus, and one called screen. The screen
control is similar to briteness but is NOT the same thing. Going back
and forth between screen and briteness can improve picture quality by
putting the video signal in the linear range of thge picture tube.
Always make adjustments after a sufficent warm-up period. This is
usually the point where the monitor no longer changes and will stay on
that particular level for hours.
