Guys, I just had to add my two cents worth here. I recently bought a Quickie 
scanner and color adaptation (and it wasn't cheap!) from an ex Apple II 
user - and I'm almost suicidal!

I find that v3.1 of Quickie creates a barely usable monochrome image. 
v3.2 doesn't do it anywhere near as good, and Quickie-C the color NDA (they 
apparently didn't do a stand alone program) crashes if there's a day in 
the month!  :\

When I did manage to get the NDA to run I found that even a monochrome 
image done with the scanning frame (you have to use that for color) is 
absolute garbage. The manual says that to 'calibrate' the software, I 
have to do a monochrome scan then a color scan and the program does the 
rest - but every time I try it all I get is a screen full of red blur.

In short, unless I'm doing something really bad - and I don't think I am 
- I wouldn't recommend anyone getting a quickie, or anything else 
produced by Vitesse for that matter.

I think the guy that sold me this junk was laughing all the way 
to the bank.  
 
Oh yes, and do you guys find that you have to turn the Light/Dark 
thumb wheel so far into the 'Light' that the centre mark is completely 
hidden?
