I've seen both versions. The "Old" version was written in Pascal using the
Pascal OS. It was black and white and used double-hi-res graphics and not
super-hi-res. The "New" version was for GS/OS and could be installed on a
hard disk. It used the real super-hi-res graphics. It also had some music
in addition to sound FX. It was in color and was pretty much nicer, but it
was also s-l-o-w-e-r to load.

Check ftp://ftp.apple.com/dts/aii/sys.soft/gs.system.6.0.1/ for the disks,
which are free to download. I'm not sure if you can get manuals for 6.0.1
anymore; when they were available, you could buy different manuals from
Apple or Quality Computers.
