None that I know of.  There are some hard drive controllers that can do this 
though.

The problems are:

1) The 256-byte boot ROM that is on most 5.25" disk controllers (Apple and 
   Apple clones) have enough space to read in the 1st (boot) sector.  A larger
   2K ROM would require the manufacturer to spend more money in the design of 
   the card.

2) Not all Apple // models support the Auto-Boot feature (boot the O/S at 
   power-up).  This feature is not available on the Apple ][.  This means that 
   the disk controller's boot ROM would have to determine whether the machine 
   supports tha Auto-Boot feature or not.

3) The 'slot scan' routine was not designed to regain control if the disk 
   controller could not boot the O/S.  This means that the option ROM would 
   have to jump back into the routine with the machine in the same state as if 
   it had not attempted to boot.  In addition, this routine was not one of the 
   gaurenteed to remain in the same place on future machines (//e, //e IIgs, 
   etc).  Therefore, the "hand-back" routine may not have worked on newer 
   machines.  Fortunately, the routine was small enough that Apple didn't need 
   to shift it when the //e (//c, IIgs) were released.

 Dunklin Co., Missouri. He is the son of John A. WALLACE & Linnie (Birdie)
 EDNESTER.  Fletcher had an older sister named Flora WALLACE, b. 1898 and
 a older half brother, Andrew J. WALLACE, b. 1891, in Clarkton, MO.

Searching for any descendants of Sterling WALLACE, b. Dec. 1879, Wayne Co.IL.
He was living in Dunklin Co. MO in 1900 & 1910 and he worked for the railroad
for a few years and he was employed at Comm. & Cotton (per Census) of 1910.
He was married to Fannie (last name not known).
