piracy of software opinions, please

Hello. I would like to ask an open question about copying software for the
Apple II. If you can't run down to Wal-Mart and buy it, does that give
anyone free reign to copy it? I see copying Apple II software to be
similar to copying audio cassettes, VCR cassettes, etc. I may not be able
to find some Apple II program locally, but if I shop around, I might find
it in shrinkwrap from someone, somewhere. Every CD/tape store in town is
not going to have that old tape that you want to buy new, but that doesn't
give anyone the right to just copy the heck out of it, since it wasn't
available locally. It is still out there, just like at least some of the
Apple II software, new in shrinkwrap, available for legal sale. It is
called a collectible.

In addition, if you have seen any shrinkwrapped Apple II software for sale
this year, please e-mail me at chesster@pcl.net. I have seen two
educational programs in shrinkwrap.

Thank you,
Jason Whorton
