Just the Apple IIgs, and then only with software that runs under
GS/OS (e.g. AppleWorks GS, HyperCard IIGS, GraphicWriter III, Hermes
Platinum Paint, DreamGrafix, etc).
This only applies to the original StyleWriter I, the other models
were never supported (by either Apple or any 3rd parties).
>With what interface cards?
It should connect to the built-in serial port, all you need is the
correct cable to run in between (I believe mini-DIN8 on both ends).
>What drivers?
System 6.0.1 includes a StyleWriter driver, though it is a little
buggy and didn't give the nicest output. If you want the best possible
output, then I would suggest buying Harmonie 2.11b which contains an
enhanced 3rd party StyleWriter driver. Shareware Solutions II sells
it now, along with many other printer drivers found in Harmonie.
>Can it do color, or only b&w>
No color. It does 360 DPI (or 180 DPI in draft mode) in B&W only.
If you already own one, or found one at a very low price, then use it
and it'll be fine. However, I'd faster recommend an HP DeskJet (or
similar) which will operate on _any_ Apple II and you can print under
both GS/OS and ProDOS 8 when used on the Apple IIgs. Not too mention
there are version of the DeskJet that do color printing, and yes,
Harmonie has drivers to support color.
