Damn, think about this.

People have been trying to "network" the IIgs as long as I remember. Now, 
it may be slow, but imagine using this tcp/ip stack as a 
"direct-serial-connection" between a IIgs and a PC. Write a simple client 
program on the IIgs and PC, and you can implement a directory access protocol. 
Now at ~28.8k (maybe more), it won't be fast, but it sure beats the hassle of 
using a modem or direct serial link and a terminal program...
