That was probably me. There are currently no IIgs drivers to do
this, and the Net Printer control panel only recognizes Apple
printers. I hacked this up a bit and actually got the DeskWriter
recognized in the control panel, but that messed up software that
checked the printer settings. I believe it is possible to get this
working, but I haven't had time to look into it much.
The one thing that the Net Printer hack =did= let me do was print
to the DeskWriter from =ProDOS 8= programs! Just select slot 7
(on a ROM 1) to print to AppleTalk. Works great! Since you can't
normally print from most ProDOS 8 programs to a DeskWriter in
serial mode, I thought this was an exciting development. I have a
personal interest in getting this working, so I hope to take a
look sometime after my current (very time-comsuming) project has
been released. Stay tuned...
