what are advantages of upgrading ROM 01 to ROM 03 ?

Should I go out and get a ROM 03 motherboard, or is it worth it?

I know that I would get 1 megabyte on the board, and it also has more rom 
code,  but I have heard that this ROM(3) code is loaded into ROM 01 
computer from disk at startup anyway.

What should I do?

What are the advantages of ROM 03?  What are the disadvantages?

How about compatibility?  Which runs "better" software, ROM 3 or 1?

Or will they both run the same software?

I have also heard about appletalk not taking up any slots???
