I believe the sound and speech tags follow the guidelines set forth by the

certainly take any suggestions to make it follow the current standards
as long as it won't break anything else. Granted <grin> and </grin>
were really goofy (and an inside joke for the beta testers), the use of
them should not break any other HTML parser. If they do break a parser,
the parser wasn't written properly in the first place (any unrecognized
tags should be ignored).
