     Such promotions can be kind of annoying. On the other hand, how else 
can a II products supplier 'get the word out'? 
Comp.sys.apple2.marketplace is okay for 'want ads'; but, many users do 
not read csa2mp on a regular basis.

     If a promo is a response to a 'where to get it' posting, at least it 
is supplying something of an answer to a question. Of course, the 
"answer" would be less annoying and much more helpful were it to include 
specifics.

     For example, as long as SWMORE (or whoever) is going to respond to a 
question about A2 joysticks, why not post model names and current prices?
