You've seen ads placed by feebs who get Apple II and Mac II mixed up. There
are even people who refer to Laserwriter IIs as Apple IIs.

OK here's the lowdown: a Mac IIsi is a 20 mHz '030 pizza box style Mac. You
need an addon card to get a math chip and nubus slot in it. OS support ends
as of next month with the rollout of Mac OS 8, which is for '040s and PPCs
only.

This is of course moot if you're interested in Apple IIs. I'd recommend
looking for a IIgs system to get into Apple IIdom. Don't pay more than
$150 for a basic system (CPU box, keyboard/mouse, monitor, and a floppy
drive of each kind.)
