Well not sure if it counts, but I once used a Video-8 Camcorder
as a temporary video display for an Apple IIgs (it had a mini-DIN
video input connector, which you could insert a custom cable that
ended with standard A/V RCA plugs). The thing was, besides being
a B&W image, you had to squint through a tiny eye-piece, the very
same one you'd use to see through when filming.
The neat thing was if you removed the eye-piece (which was just
a little magnification lens) there was an ultra-mini display under
it which could still be viewed. It looked to be an LCD display no
bigger than maybe 0.25" x 0.25". Fairly interesting to see the GS
on such a small display. Haven't tried that for awhile, though I'll
bet it'd be more of a usable portable display than my C-Vue. ;-)
