While I doubt any damage will occur, this would give you a very short
test.  The disk drive'd run a coupla secs, and then quit, with the
computer telling you of some I/O error or something.  You'd want to
use Copy II Plus to do a Hi-Res Disk Scan or Verify The Drive's Speed,
or use a magical POKE that makes the drive spin until you tell it
otherwise.
