    I've certainly grown tired of the latter. Some five plus years
ago, the closest thing to flame wars I can remember, were people
having platform debates, defending the GS's features against Macs,
PCs, Amigas, etc. Those would on occasion turn sour, but nothing
like I've seen here these past few months/years. Pretty sad since
comp.sys.apple2 used to be a _nice_ place believe it or not.

    Other turn offs are a lack of new things to discuss. No new
Apple II computers, no new hardware, no new software. I no longer
even look regularly on comp.binaries.apple2 or FTP sites because
no one is writing shareware anymore. The only real "news" coming
out is about companies leaving or going out of business, or yet
another printed publication disappearing. :/
