256 colours/lumnas combinations per image.GIfs that contain multiple images
could have a seperate palette per image.
(like in animations)

Since those are really 320x200 and 640x200 (with a narrow screen) you should be
able to view CGA pictures,though you'll have to scroll to see the whole image
or just decide what part of the picture to see.
(like viewing pictures on the Atari's 80x200x4096 mode)

Isn't there a way to interlace screens on the Apple?
On the Atari,a 16-shade and 16-colour screen are interlace (shown every
1/30 seconds) to produce 80x200x256.(APAC mode)
And 80x200x4096 (16-level RGB) is done with interlacing a 16-shade red,blue and
green screen,each being shown 20 times per second.(Colourview mode)
Of course you'd be limited to a APAC-type display since you only get two video
memory buffers.

Well,Atari always did have the colour advantage over everyone else.
