A plea for civility

I would like to make a plea to the citizens of comp.sys.apple2 that we try to 
make our discussions a little more polite. Some of the exchanges are far more 
testy than is really called for. I make a special effort to avoid reading 
threads whose subject lines warn me that the comments will be overly harsh. 
Still, even with only reading seemingly innocent threads, which shouldn't be 
that controversial, I see far more digs and jabs than I think are necessary. We 
are not putting our best feet forward with such behavior. I believe it 
frightens away far more potential Apple II converts than it attracts.
